The fragrance of red berries, cinnamon, vanilla and toast continue onto the palate framed in a well-crafted structure of tannin and acid, suitable for aging, or immediate enjoyment. An excellent example of the what the Green Valley region of the Russian River Valley can do.

Food Pairings: Duck confit—of course! Also tri-tip rubbed in lavender or other aromatic herbs; for something light try a beet, avocado and goat cheese salad.

Longevity: Good tannin and acidity should allow for 5-10 years of aging and development.

2008 TOCAI FRIULANO

Planted in the early 1920's these old vines continue to deliver light crops of delicious fruit--aromas of honeysuckle, peach, white pepper. Light on the palate with a slightly mineral finish. Pair it with a ripe goat cheese, seafood, fruits or salty popcorn! A great summer patio wine.

We produce our Crane Vineyard pinot noir entirely from fruit grown by the Crane family on their property located South of Santa Rosa at the base of Crane Canyon. This pinot is robust enough to pair with rare beef, but try it with duck breast as well!
